Prerequisite

Current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certification (within last 2 years)

Current HLTAID009- Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification (within last 12 months

Exisitng Level 2 Sports Trainer (Evidence must be submitted)

Letter from club president or Level 2 or higher Sports Trainer verifying minimum of 12 months working as a Level 2 Sports Trainer with a minimum of 50 hours work as a Sports Trainer

 

Certification

*Please note: This course includes both Nationally Recognised Units of Competency and Non-Accredited Sports Trainer topics.

Upon successful completion of the Level 3 Sports Trainer Course participants will receive:

• A statement of attainment issued by Allen's Training (RTO 90909) for the following nationally recognised units of competency:​​

  • PUAEME004- Provide emergency care for suspected spinal injury

  • PUAEME005- Provide Pain Management

  • HLTAID0014- Provide Advanced First Aid

  • HLTAID015- Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy

 

Category 5 Emergency Care delivers nationally recognised training on behalf of Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909

• Professional Sports Trainers Australia  Level 2 Sports Trainer Certificate of Currency​​ (Valid for 12 months)

In order to meet the Professional Sports Trainers Australia requirements and achieve a certificate of currency issued by Professional Sports Trainers Australia (valid for 12 months) students will be required to meet the following industry standards:

The additional requirements for Level 2 Sports Trainer Certificate:

Sports Taping: Ankle, Thumb, Finger, Shoulder, Knee

Injury Prevention- Stretching, Warm Up, Cool Down

Basic Kinesiology Taping

Concussion Recognition & Management

Sports Massage

Mentoring Sports Trainers

Coordinating Sports Trainer Teams

Successful participants will also receive free membership to Professional Sports Trainers Australia.
